Job description

Lifesteps is hiring a Full-Time, entry level Groundskeeper and Maintenance Attendant for Butler County.

Lifesteps is a non-profit human services organization which has been serving Western Pennsylvania for over 100 years by “helping individuals and families with life's changing needs”. The Agency provides programs and services to help those with special needs live to their fullest potential. If you have a strong desire to help others and serve the community, this is the right opportunity for you.

Position Summary:

The position is responsible for providing building maintenance, custodial, and grounds keeping services to ensure buildings are clean and in efficient working condition.

Main duties are: Grass cutting, trimming hedges and bushes, Snow removal, light plumbing, painting, drywall repair, etc. Knowledge of electrical work, HVAC, and basic welding is helpful, but not required.

This full-time position works Monday through Friday 6:30 am to 3:00 pm at the Butler location. No Evenings, No Weekends, No Holidays!!

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated knowledge with lawn tools and basic household tools
  • Prior experience with preventive building and equipment maintenance, basic plumbing, electricity principles, basic welding, refrigeration and air conditioning systems, and/or boiler systems repair is helpful, but not required.
  • Ability to read and write.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license which legally permits operating a motor vehicle in Pennsylvania.
