Responsibilities of the LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)

  • Give medication as prescribed by a physician
  • Take vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight
  • Responsible for basic wound care including cleaning and bandaging injured areas
  • Give injections of medication and immunizations
  • Take medical histories
  • Enter information into EMR
