Position Overview

Delmont Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team on a full-time basis. As a vital member of our mental health practice, you will provide expert therapeutic services aimed at fostering recovery, wellness, and resilience among our clients. Work Environment

This role is offered as a remote opportunity, giving you the flexibility to work from home while utilizing our advanced virtual therapy platforms. Our outpatient office team collaborates closely together, ensuring that you have the necessary support and resources while managing the varying needs of your clients from the comfort of your own space. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify and understand the mental health concerns and needs of clients, formulating appropriate clinical diagnoses.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans that utilize evidence-based methodologies tailored to each client's unique challenges and therapeutic goals.
  • Provide therapy sessions—individual, group, and family—using established techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate meaningful progress.
  • Deliver crisis intervention services to clients experiencing acute mental health crises, ensuring immediate support and intervention strategies are in place.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential clinical records in accordance with ethical guidelines and legal standards, including treatment plans and progress notes.
  • Engage in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team consisting of other therapists, social workers, and psychiatrists to provide well-rounded care and address clients' comprehensive needs.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and community resources, while advocating for the rights and needs of clients as required.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development through training workshops and continual learning, ensuring that practice remains current with the latest therapeutic advancements.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients range from children to adults, presenting with a diverse variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. In delivering services, you will focus on building rapport, encouraging client engagement, and providing a safe environment where clients can express themselves freely. Your contributions are essential in promoting recovery-oriented practices and measurable improvements in the lives of our clients.

Qualifications
  • Currently licensed as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, or LCSW).
  • A Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field is required; a Master’s or Doctoral degree is preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills with a passion for helping individuals navigate their mental health journeys.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a mental health setting, utilizing diverse therapeutic techniques.

Preferred Experience
