Job Title: File Clerk / Courier
Position Type: 25-40 hours/week

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented File Clerk / Courier to join our Ann Arbor legal team. This hands-on, dual-role position supports the firm’s daily operations across a range of functions: transporting and filing legal documents with courts and clients; organizing and maintaining physical and digital files; providing administrative and office support to attorneys and paralegals; handling firm errands and logistics; and assisting with front desk reception and phone coverage. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for candidates seeking practical, real-world experience in a professional legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Legal Deliveries: Transport confidential documents and filings to courts, opposing counsel, and clients.
  • Court Filing: File legal documents directly with local, state, and federal courts in compliance with strict deadlines.
  • File Management: Organize, scan, and maintain physical and digital files within the firm's database.
  • Office Support: Assist attorneys, paralegals, and other staff with printing, copying, scanning, and delivering inter-office mail; and provide front desk reception and phone coverage, light housekeeping, and other office support as needed.
  • Errands & Logistics: Run firm-related errands, including post office runs, bank deposits, and picking up staff meeting lunches.

Qualifications & Requirements
