Summary/Objective:
The Logistics Clerk is responsible for supporting logistics operations through administrative, clerical, and system-based tasks. This is an entry level role that focuses on documentation, data entry, vendor communication, and system management within ERP and WMS platforms. The position works closely with the Inventory Control Supervisor to support shipments, transfers, and inventory movement while ensuring accuracy and organization of logistics-related information. This role serves as a developmental position with a pathway to Logistics Coordinator.
Essential Functions:
  • Assist with preparation and processing of shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing slips, and transfer records
  • Enter, update, and maintain shipment and inventory data within ERP and WMS systems
  • Support tracking of shipments and update status in internal systems
  • Communicate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to confirm delivery schedules and shipment details
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all logistics documentation
  • Assist with coordinating inbound and outbound shipments under direction of the Logistics Coordinator
  • Support vendor relations by assisting with communications, issue follow-up, and documentation
  • Verify accuracy of documentation against physical shipments and system records
  • Assist with return-to-vendor processes and reverse logistics documentation
  • Monitor and report discrepancies in shipment records or documentation
  • Support inventory and logistics reporting by compiling data and generating reports as needed
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain organized filing systems (electronic and physical) for logistics records
  • Collaborate with Inventory Control and Material Handling teams to ensure documentation accuracy
  • Perform other applicable duties necessary to position

Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
  • 0-2 years of experience in administrative, clerical, logistics, or operations support role preferred
  • Basic understanding of shipping and logistics processes preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Outlook, and Word)
  • Experience with ERP and/or WMS systems preferred but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Work Environment:
  • Primarily office-based with regular interaction in warehouse/shop environment
  • Exposure to warehouse conditions as needed; PPE required where applicable
