The Import Logistics Analyst supports Univar Solutions' North American import operations by coordinating orders, tracking shipments, assisting with customs documentation, and working with suppliers, freight providers, and internal stakeholders. This entry-level role offers an opportunity to build expertise in international trade, supply chain operations, and import logistics. 

What you'll do:

  • Support sales and purchase order management, including order entry, supplier coordination, and shipment scheduling.
  • Monitor and track import shipments, providing status updates and resolving delivery issues.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, warehouses, and suppliers to ensure timely product movement.
  • Assist with customs clearance documentation, compliance activities, and import record maintenance.
  • Review shipping documents and Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for accuracy and completeness.
  • Support invoice processing, reporting, data management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Maritime Business, Marine Transportation, Logistics or a related field preferred.
  • 0-2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, customer service, purchasing, or supply chain environments.
  • Internship, co-op, or coursework related to logistics, international trade, or import operations is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other business systems.
  • Interest in international trade, customs processes, import operations, and supply chain management.
