Job description

Project Details:
Platform Deployment Analyst will support the ADMS team with deployment of hypervisor host servers hosting a large multiserver application in on-premise data centers. This individual will help with deployment of server and network hardware from new-in-box to network connected hypervisor hosts. This team member will assist with planning and implementation of lights out management, firmware update, Debian Linux OS installation and patching, Linux KVM hypervisor installation, system configuration, and network connectivity of management plane, data plan, and dedicated storage network for backups. This team member will also support the ADMS team with automation using Ansible playbooks and crontab of configuration tasks. This person may also assist with loading workstation consoles from vendor-supplied MS Windows image.
 
 
Must have skills:
  • 3+ years of experience in system administration/integration
  • Demonstrated mastery of two or more subject areas through current certifications or demonstrated relevant project experience
    • Linux admin (top need)
    • HP server maintenance/hardware -  gen 12 using (new as of April) (top need)
      • Hardware can be picked up - have vendor support
    • Ansible automation
    • Linux KVM virtual machines
    • **Not using VMWare
  • Ability to work effectively in Linux and Windows operating systems
 
Soft skills:
  • Great communication both orally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and assistance
 
Nice to have skills: 
  • Relevant certifications
  • Worked on relevant project
 
 
Education/certification requirements:
  • Requires Bachelors Degree from accredited institution  in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field. Two year degree with IT certifications or 2+ years related experience will also qualify
