Job description

Job Posting Information Lincoln City Libraries currently has a full-time (40 hours per week) Maintenance Repair Worker position available. This is entry-level, semi-skilled work in the maintenance, repair, construction, and landscaping of Library buildings and facilities. Work is inspected in progress and upon completion in order to ensure conformance with specifications, policies, and procedures.

As a Maintenance Repair Worker, you will perform oversight, instruction, and coordination with contractors including custodial staff and contracted skilled laborers (plumbers, electricians, etc). This position is eligible for insurance benefits, Holiday Pay, and will accrue Vacation and Sick Leave. This position is eligible for the retirement plan after completing six months of employment.

40 hours of work per week will be scheduled between the hours of 8AM and 8PM Monday through Sunday, with 2 consecutive days off. This position includes the possibility of compensated pre-scheduled on-call time as needed. This position necessitates traveling between all library branches to complete maintenance and repairs, including unscheduled emergency repair and cleanup.

Minimum Qualifications Graduation from high school or equivalent plus six months of experience in a variety of maintenance, repair, and construction activities in any one or more of the craft disciplines including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical repair, landscaping and related disciplines; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities and skills. DESIRED: Landscaping Experience Necessary Special Requirements Possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to be insured by the City's insurance carrier.
