Renier Hotopp Law Offices is hiring a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to support attorneys in managing family law cases from start to finish. This on-site role is central to ensuring cases move forward efficiently, deadlines are met, and clients receive consistent, high-quality communication.

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for a professional who can operate with minimal oversight, produce accurate legal work, and confidently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities


Case Management

  • Manage family law cases from inception to resolution
  • Organize and maintain case files, ensuring accuracy and accessibility
  • Track deadlines and ensure timely filing of all legal documents
  • Proactively manage task lists to keep cases moving forward


Document Preparation

  • Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, subpoenas, and discovery
  • Prepare and e-file documents with courts at the county and state level


Client Communication

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients
  • Provide updates and respond to client inquiries within 24–48 hours
  • Assist clients in completing required forms and gathering documentation


Administrative Coordination

  • Schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings
  • Manage attorney calendars and coordinate logistics
  • Communicate with courts, clients, and opposing counsel


Trial Preparation

  • Assist attorneys with trial and hearing preparation
  • Organize exhibits, evidence, and trial notebooks
  • Coordinate witness logistics and support courtroom preparation

Qualifications:
  • Paralegal experience, preferably in family law
  • Strong experience with case management, legal drafting, and court filings
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
