Job description

Role and Responsibilities

Pedcor is looking for a highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual to join our multifamily real estate team as a Land Acquisition Analyst. This position will support the development team by identifying and evaluating land opportunities suitable for affordable housing development. The Analyst will need to work with internal development teams as well as external brokerage firms to help facilitate the sale of the property. Primary responsibilities will include, although not be limited to, the following: conducting preliminary due diligence, analyzing site feasibility, and being a point-of-contact for land brokers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and excited to learn. The Analyst will touch a wide array of real estate components of Pedcor with the opportunity to grow within the organization and expand their responsibilities.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

A qualified candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and some experience in real estate or other related field.

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to analyze data and make recommendations
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate professionally with others, including real estate professionals, utility providers, government staff, as well as internal legal, finance, and engineering teams
  • Desire to learn and grow

Essential Job Functions

  • Identify and source land opportunities suitable for affordable and workforce housing
  • Conduct market and demographic research to support site selection, including housing demand, population trends, employment center and workforce growth
  • Utilize MLS, GIS tools, parcel data, and public records to evaluate site characteristics
  • Maintain organized records of site data, correspondence, and due diligence materials
  • Prepare site summaries for internal review
