Status: 
Regular Part-Time/Non-Exempt

Essential Job Functions: 


  1. Facilitate a learning environment where students may observe and practice the development and care of young children.
  2. Supervise mealtime activities.
  3. Complete on a timely basis and maintain documents and record keeping required for both students and children in compliance with District policy, State and Federal regulations governing child care center operations.
  4. Maintain equipment and environment in an orderly, sanitary, neat and safe manner.
  5. Attend staff meetings, workshops and trainings required by regulatory agencies.
  6. Effectively manage childcare classrooms to create an optimal learning environment.
  7. Demonstrate effective people skills, communication skills and professionalism (i.e. prepared, reliable, responsible, punctual, etc.)
  8. Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the mission and goals of Tulsa Tech.
  9. Perform tasks and duties relevant to any of various roles or responsibilities assigned by supervision and determined by management to be appropriate for this position; comply with all policy, procedure, regulation and other communicated requirements as may be in effect for the work group or wor

Job Requirements:

  • If less than 18 years of age, must be a high school student currently enrolled in Tulsa Tech's Childcare Program.
  • CPR/First Aid (Must be obtained within 3 months of employment).
  • Food Handlers Card (Must be obtained within 1 month of employment).
  • ELCCT Training (Entry-Level Child-Care Training). Must have proof of completion Oklahoma Professional Development Registry Ladder Certificate (Must be current or obtained within 30 days of employment depending on prior work history).
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in training and teaching others new to the field.

Education:
High School diploma or equivalent or be a High School student currently enrolled in the Tulsa Tech's Childcare Program

Salary Schedule:  
Standard rate schedule for non-regular (temporary, adjunct, substitute) and regular part-time employees

$13.50 per hour
