This is a great opportunity for an entry-level candidate looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional laboratory environment while building skills in sample preparation, laboratory procedures, documentation, and quality practices. You’ll work alongside an experienced lab team, receive exposure to real-world testing operations, and develop valuable laboratory experience that can help build a long-term career in the sciences.

Pay: $17-$19/hr

 

Schedule Options:

·         Tues-Sat 10am-6:30pm

·         Tues-Sat 12pm-8:30pm

Entry-Level Lab Technician Daily Tasks: What you will do:

  • Retrieve laboratory samples and prepare them for analysis.
  • Perform basic sample preparation, including aliquoting, measuring, spiking/tracing samples, preparing reagents and concentrations, sonication, and setting up sample racks.
  • Verify samples are properly labeled and documented and resolve basic discrepancies.
  • Complete laboratory documentation, including bench sheets, sample tracking, analysis results, and lab logbooks.
  • Follow established SOPs, laboratory procedures, and quality requirements.
  • Wash and prepare laboratory glassware and equipment for upcoming testing.
  • Stock laboratory supplies and maintain clean, organized laboratory and storage areas.

 

Entry-Level Lab Technician Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required; science coursework or additional laboratory education is a plus.
  • 0–2 years of laboratory experience; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • School laboratory, internship, sample preparation, manufacturing, QC, or other hands-on lab experience is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of laboratory methods, equipment, and safe laboratory practices.
