Job description

DOMO Engineering Plastics US, LLC is looking to immediately hire a Lab Technician to cover a Continental day shift. The Lab Technician preforms daily tasks that ensure our manufactured products meet regulatory and quality requirements. This position provides adherence to, and performance of all quality testing processes related to internal operations and provides a critical link between Production, Warehouse, Customer Service, and the entire DOMO Team.

Key Accountabilities:

· Understands and adheres to all DOMO safety policies and procedures to prevent injury to self and others.

· Understands and adheres to all DOMO Company policies and procedures.

· Ensures quality of product through hands-on involvement performing timely quality checks and testing.

· Sustains high standard of time-management, quality, accuracy, and neatness of work; frequency of errors should be very uncommon.

· Maintains active involvement in data integrity, testing methodology, and non-conformance material containment process.

· Demonstrates ability to accurately record, edit, and manage product data in company software system and/or other electronic files.

· Ability to follow Quality SOPs and to adapt to procedural changes due to business requirements.

· Understands ISO principles and assist in facilitating compliance throughout the organization through a variety of activities.

· Ability to understand and competently use lab tools and equipment: Injection Molding equipment, Instron Load Cell, Furnace for Ash/Filler confirmation, Flammability Chamber, Pyconmeter for Material Density Verification, Color Spectrophotometer, Moisture Analyzers, Melt Flow Index testing units, etc.

· Monitors and maintains laboratory inventory and organize laboratory supplies.

· Daily maintenance and calibration of testing equipment.

· Abides by Non-conformance Product and Quality Hold Procedures.

· Aids in the management of Process Control Plans and Product Spec Sheets.

· Demonstrates sense of urgency in completion of daily tasks, offering assistance to others, and being responsive to changes in customer orders.

· Provides information for shift notes, quality issues, problems encountered, and corrective actions taken.

Education

· Required: High School or Equivalent

· Preferred: Associate degree or Certification from Technical School or College

Experience

· Required: None

· Preferred: At least 2 years Lab Tech or Quality Tech Experience

Skills Needed

· Must be prepared to work a PM continental schedule (7am to 7pm, Sun/W/Th & M/T/F/S).

· Basic math skills and the ability to use a calculator.

· Basic computer navigational skills.

· Intermediate MS Excel skills.

· Must be organized and possess a forward thinking and planning mindset.

· Ability to work in a positive and productive team environment.

· Must be able to read and write English.

· Must be dependable with a good attendance record.

· Must have good communication skills and the assertiveness
