Position Summary
Start your hospitality career at The Nest Bar & Grill, the lively lakeside restaurant at Falcon Lakes Golf Club in Basehor, Kansas! We are hiring enthusiastic Restaurant Support Staff (Hosts, Bussers, Food Runners, and Server Assistants) to help deliver outstanding guest experiences. This is an excellent opportunity for teens and young adults looking for a fun, flexible first job or part-time role in a beautiful setting with lake views, a spacious patio, fire pits, and a welcoming golf-course atmosphere. You'll be part of a supportive team that values hard work, great attitudes, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
  • Host/Hostess: Greet guests warmly, manage reservations and waitlists, seat guests efficiently, and provide menus while creating a positive first impression.
  • Busser: Clear and reset tables quickly and thoroughly, maintain clean dining areas, assist with dish running, and keep the restaurant looking its best.
  • Food Runner: Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to tables accurately and promptly, ensuring guests receive the correct orders with a smile.
  • Server Assistant: Support servers by refilling drinks, delivering bread/appetizers, clearing plates, and helping with any guest needs to keep service running smoothly.
  • Work collaboratively with the entire team (servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, and managers) to ensure every guest has a memorable visit.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room, patio, restrooms, and service areas throughout the shift.
  • Help with opening/closing side work, restocking supplies, and supporting special events or large parties on the patio.
  • Provide friendly, helpful service to golfers, families, and community members in a fast-paced but relaxed environment.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be at least 16 years old (some roles may require 18+ for certain tasks).
  • No prior restaurant experience required - we provide full training! A positive attitude and willingness to learn are most important.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and work in a busy dining room/patio setting.
