Overview
The Epic Analyst II is responsible for configuring, optimizing, and supporting Epic applications with moderate independence. This role collaborates with clinical and operational stakeholders to assess business needs, implement system enhancements, and support training and troubleshooting efforts.
Location: Springfield, IL
Please note this is a hybrid position with regular onsite requirements in Springfield, IL
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Epic Certification is HIGHLY preferred.
Education: A bachelor's degree in health informatics, Information Systems, Clinical Healthcare, or a related field is preferred.
Epic Certification:.
• Epic system training and certification are required and must align with assigned application responsibilities. Specific certification requirements and timelines, including allowances of up to one (1) year for new hires, will be documented in a position-specific addendum.
Experience:
• Three or more years' experience in Information Technology including project management, advanced support management or other similar experience required.
• Two years' clinical experience and/or relevant system experience in EHR systems is preferred.
Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical skills.
• Familiarity with Epic system design, configuration, and maintenance is preferred.
Responsibilities
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Configure, build, and maintain Epic applications to align with business needs.
2. Responsible for system testing, issue resolution, and application troubleshooting.
3. Optimize workflows to improve efficiency and user experience.
4. Provide end-user support, training, and documentation.
5. Perform system demonstrations and training sessions for staff.
6. Partner with clinical and operational teams to assess system needs and enhancements.
7. Work closely with IT, project managers, and leadership to ensure successful system implementations.
8. Monitor system performance, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
9. Participate in system upgrades, testing, and change management processes.
10. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and Meaningful Use requirements.
11. Generate and analyze reports to provide insights into system usage and performance.
12. Contribute to Epic-related projects, ensuring timely delivery.
13. Identify opportunities for workflow improvements and implement best practices.
14. Epic Certification Addendum Acknowledgment
All colleagues in Epic-designated roles are required to review, acknowledge, and sign the applicable Epic Certification Addendum as a condition of employment and continued assignment in an Epic role.
