LOCATION: Dallas /Addison, Texas

POSITION: Information Technology Support Specialist

The mission for this role is to provide daily support to the information technology systems and infrastructure while working with the IT Manager on new implementations of IT goals and projects. This support role will perform a daily review of IT infrastructure components and resources to provide a high-level overview and status to the IT Manager. This role will also provide first-level support through the company help desk and provide access support for the HR and management teams. An IT Support Specialist oversees computer systems for businesses and offers support to the system's users. This may be internal assistance, working directly with staff who use the computer systems, or assisting external customers who access the systems via the Internet.

PRIMARY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners.
  • Primary resource setting new hires up and replacing out of warranty equipment
  • Track key metrics of IT Infrastructure daily, report discrepancies to IT Manager immediately.
  • Provide technical support for new client relationships and integrations
  • Support IT Manager in developing inventory of replacement IT infrastructure needed
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests.
  • Complete help desk tickets and support daily maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of an organization.
  • Installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing hardware and software issues, and solving technical and applications problems, either over the phone or in person.
  • In charge of keeping current systems updated and running smoothly.
  • Upgrading the system and its components when the need arises.
  • Preparing computer equipment for shipping purposes
  • REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Previous Experience with Windows, Windows Server, and Office 365
  • 1+ years of working knowledge of common information technologies and systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high customer service standards
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot common IT problems
  • Ability to prioritize effectively
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts to a general audience
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to support as a team
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Must be able to lift to 25lbs

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Experience with technical writing for documentation or instruction

• Hardware and software certification such as A+

• Program certifications such as Cisco and Microsoft Windows
