IT Technician- Full Time | Raleigh Oaks Behavioral Health | Garner, North Carolina

About the Job:

Schedule: On-site, Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts!
The IT Technician provides ongoing support and maintenance of all information systems which are involved with patient care to ensure smooth day to day facility operation. Manages installation and troubleshooting of systems and hardware and implements new technology and programs, and monitors systems daily.

Roles and Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Works with corporate IT and external support providers to provide holistic technology support for facility.
  • Serves as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance. Regularly interfaces with vendors/staff to resolve problems, responds to inquiries.
  • Configures all new PC's in a timely, efficient and effective manner to network and system standards. Installs any software upgrades as needed.
  • Provides basic diagnostic evaluation, troubleshoots problems in a timely manner, and initiates any necessary equipment repair and vendor involvement as necessary.
  • Determines the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers.
  • Provides accurate information on IT products or services.
  • Records events and problems and their resolution in ticket system. Follows-up and updates customer status and information.
  • Tests and validates new hardware and operating system for existing business applications.
  • Maintains an ongoing inventory of all network hardware, purchases, warranty dates, server and model numbers, maintenance dates, software programs and licenses.
  • Implements and monitors security measures to safeguard facility information against accidental or intentional modification or destruction.
  • Tests and modifies systems to ensure that they operate reliably.
  • Works after hours, weekend and holiday work as required to perform system maintenance functions.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prefer some college or technical school coursework.
  • Two years of job-related experience required; preferably in desktop support with multi-site locations.
  • Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases, basic network troubleshooting techniques and remote access applications.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of Active Directory, exchange mailbox administration, group polices (within AD)
