What are we looking for?

The Engineer - Military and Aerospace is responsible for performing testing and evaluations on military and aerospace products to the provisions of U.S., Canadian and other international product standards; writing reports; and communicating with clients.  

Salary & Benefits Information

The base wage or salary range for this position is $68,000-$73,000. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

What you'll do:

  • Read and determine applicability of standards for the EUT (equipment under test).
  • Wear appropriate PPE; including work gloves and steel toe shoes. 
  • Use proper lifting techniques and equipment to move heavy, oversized samples.
  • Perform testing of products in accordance with standards. 
  • Operate, maintain and troubleshoot environmental chambers. 
  • Document testing using data loggers and photographs.
  • Use a schedule to plan testing and chamber usage. 
  • Develop, set up, and follow established test plans.
  • Compile test results during testing. Compile data and product description and compose final reports. Submit report to reviewer for final approval.
  • Communicate project status and test results to clients, sales personnel, and management throughout testing.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Provide on-going support to clients as needed.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering 
  • No experience required - recent college grads considered
  • Valid unrestricted driver's license and reliable driving record
  • Microsoft Office expertise
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to make technical decisions and engineering judgments independently within established parameters
  • Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to travel as business needs dictate, up to 25%

Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Experience with Military and Aerospace product testing
  • Experience using environmental chambers
