Job description

Software Integration & Test Engineer

Seeking a Software Integration & Test Engineer to support mission-critical tactical communications systems in a fast-paced defense environment. This role focuses on software integration, automated testing, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration supporting advanced communications technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute software integration and testing (I&T) on software-defined hardware platforms
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software/hardware integration issues
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python 3.9+
  • Support test automation, CI workflows, and test reporting
  • Coordinate integration efforts across software, firmware, and hardware teams
  • Support Agile development processes and configuration management activities
  • Maintain accurate test documentation, results, and release records
  • Support software release and delivery processes

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related STEM field
  • 2+ years of relevant experience (or Master's with 6+ months)
  • Experience with Python and object-oriented programming
  • Experience with hardware/software integration testing
  • Familiarity with test equipment such as signal analyzers, signal generators, and USRP devices
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a rapid-prototype, fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with software testing and debugging
  • Background in defense, aerospace, or tactical communications systems
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices
  • Interest in applying AI-enabled engineering tools and automation
