What You'll Do - Job Responsibilities
Position Summary
The Insurance Verification Specialist (Greeter) will be an integral part of the Suvida Healthcare team. The Insurance Verification Specialist will be the first impression of the center to all patients, family members, and visitors. The Greeter will provide exceptional customer service and ensure all who visit Suvida Healthcare centers are welcomed and properly attended to. The Insurance Verification Specialist will work with the center team by answering questions, managing incoming and outgoing calls, ensuring all benefits are verified, and assisting with other clinical clerical tasks. Essential responsibilities consist of but are not all inclusive:
Responsibilities
  • Ensures the highest level of customer service possible
  • Displays respect and concern for all patients
  • Attends all clinic huddles and clinic monthly meetings
  • Greets and Welcomes patients to the clinic
  • Assists patients to the seating area
  • Assists patients in wheelchair to the seating area
  • Assists patients with scheduling transportation to and from the clinic
  • Ensures all insurance benefits are verified and active
  • Collects any co-pays necessary for patient's visit
  • Manages phone lines by answering, taking messages, and conducting outbound calls as instructed
  • Manages patient referrals by processing them and obtaining authorizations
  • Assists in scheduling appointments for patient's referrals
  • Updates patient information and making changes to EMR platform
  • Other Duties as assigned
What You'll Bring
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • 1+ years progressive work experience in the healthcare industry
  • 2+ years of customer service
  • Bi-lingual-(English/Spanish) required
  • Experience managing referrals and authorizations preferred
  • Experience in Value-based care operations preferred
  • Experience documenting electronic medical records
  • Comfortable working independently
Education, Experience, Licensure, or Certification Requirements
  • CPR/BLS Certified (or willing to obtain within 7 days of employment)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's in healthcare administration, Business, or Hospitality preferred
