Staten Island, NY

LaSante Health Center is seeking an Insurance Verification Specialist to ensure all patient visits and procedures are properly verified with insurance providers. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, efficient, and skilled at navigating insurance processes to support seamless patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Review provider schedules to verify insurance coverage for all patients and procedures

  • Confirm eligibility, benefits, and coverage details with insurance companies

  • Troubleshoot issues related to out-of-network coverage, procedure approvals, or payment denials

  • Communicate with patients regarding insurance status and financial responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record

  • Complete additional tasks as directed by supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in insurance verification, medical billing, or a related role preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Proficiency with computers and electronic health record systems

  • Ability to problem-solve and work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
