Customer Service Representative (Personal Lines) – Haven Insurance Group

About Us
We are a growing independent insurance agency dedicated to providing exceptional service to our clients. With a strong focus on personal lines insurance, we pride ourselves on building lasting relationships and delivering tailored solutions. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative (CSR) who can also assist with some light office management responsibilities.

Position Overview
The CSR will play a vital role in supporting our personal lines department by servicing existing clients, assisting producers, and ensuring smooth day-to-day office operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, has strong organizational skills, and can wear multiple hats in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service – Personal Lines

  • Respond to client inquiries by phone and email in a timely and professional manner
  • Process policy changes, endorsements, renewals, and certificates of insurance
  • Assist clients with billing questions, ID card requests, and claims reporting
  • Provide proactive client follow-up to ensure satisfaction and retention
  • Support producers and agents with account management

Office Management Tasks

  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail
  • Prepare outgoing correspondence and packages
  • Make bank deposits and maintain accurate records
  • Manage office supplies and ensure common areas remain organized
  • Assist with scheduling and other administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in personal lines insurance (agency or carrier) strongly preferred
  • Active Property & Casualty license a plus (or willingness to obtain within the first year)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and agency management systems (experience with Applied Epic, AMS360, or similar a plus)
