Entry Level Insurance Consultant information

What jobs pay 4000 a week without a degree?

Entry level insurance consultants typically do not earn $4,000 a week without experience or advanced certifications. High-paying roles that can reach this level often require specialized skills, sales ability, or licensing, such as insurance agents with commissions, real estate brokers, or certain sales positions. Most jobs paying this much without a degree are in sales, entrepreneurship, or commission-based roles that depend on performance and client acquisition.

What are some common challenges faced by entry level insurance consultants, and how can they overcome them?

Entry level insurance consultants often face challenges such as building a client base, understanding complex insurance products, and meeting sales targets. To overcome these obstacles, new consultants should actively seek mentorship from experienced colleagues, participate in ongoing training, and focus on developing strong communication and relationship-building skills. Regular feedback from supervisors and a willingness to learn from both successes and setbacks can accelerate professional growth and confidence in the role.

What does an Entry Level Insurance Consultant do?

An Entry Level Insurance Consultant helps clients understand and choose suitable insurance products, such as health, life, auto, or property insurance. They assess clients’ needs, explain policy options, and assist with applications or claims. Their role often involves researching policies, providing quotes, and supporting more experienced consultants. This position is ideal for those starting their career in insurance, as it offers training and opportunities to develop sales and customer service skills.

How to get into insurance consulting?

To become an entry-level insurance consultant, you typically need a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, and knowledge of insurance products. Gaining relevant certifications, such as the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), and gaining experience through internships or entry-level roles can improve your prospects in the field.

In summary, Entry Level Insurance Consultants and Insurance Agents both require licensing and work within the insurance industry, often in similar environments. However, consultants typically focus on advising clients and analyzing insurance options, while agents primarily sell policies directly to clients. Understanding these differences can help job seekers identify the right role for their skills and career goals.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Entry Level Insurance Consultant, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Entry Level Insurance Consultant, you need a basic understanding of insurance products, strong analytical skills, and a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software and insurance quoting tools is typically required, and obtaining a state insurance license is often necessary. Excellent communication, active listening, and problem-solving abilities help you build trust with clients and address their needs effectively. These skills ensure you can accurately assess client requirements, provide suitable solutions, and foster long-term relationships essential for success in the insurance industry.

What are entry level positions in insurance?

Entry level insurance positions typically include roles such as Insurance Agent, Customer Service Representative, or Claims Assistant. These roles often require strong communication skills, basic knowledge of insurance products, and may involve on-the-job training or certification programs. They provide foundational experience for a career in insurance sales, underwriting, or claims processing.

Why do so many insurance agents quit?

Many insurance agents quit due to the high level of competition, the need for strong sales skills, and the reliance on commissions which can lead to income instability. The job often requires persistent prospecting, ongoing training, and building client relationships, which can be challenging and lead to burnout or dissatisfaction.

Looking for a new career opportunity with strong income potential?

Dave Gill Chevrolet is hiring motivated individuals to join our team as Automotive Sales Consultants. No previous automotive sales experience is required.

We offer a $4,000 minimum monthly compensation guarantee, giving you income stability while you build your skills and grow your career.

New consultants begin with a one-month training program with a $3,500 minimum compensation guarantee, plus the opportunity to earn bonuses during training. This program is designed to provide income security while helping you develop the skills needed to work independently with customers.

Our new Chevrolet sales volume increased 30% last year, and we are growing our team to continue that momentum in 2026.

A Different Kind of Automotive Career

Are you tired of selling your time for money while doing work that doesn’t inspire you?

What if you could build something meaningful — create real relationships, use your creativity, and work with autonomy — all while earning at a high level?

We’re not looking for transactional salespeople. We’re building trusted advisors.

You won’t be micromanaged. Instead, you’ll have the freedom to spend your time in self-directed activities that align with our mission — creating exceptional experiences and building long-term customer relationships.

If you’re entrepreneurial, disciplined, and people-focused, this environment will unlock your potential.

What You'll Do

The Automotive Consultant is responsible for creating a world-class experience for every guest who visits our showroom — both in person and online.

Our consultants act as knowledgeable advisors who help customers navigate vehicle selection, performance, accessories, efficiency, safety, and features.

Responsibilities include:

  • Presenting new and pre-owned vehicles in an engaging, informative, and professional manner
  • Building trust and long-term relationships with customers
  • Guiding guests through the vehicle selection and purchase process
  • Communicating with customers both in person and digitally

Consultants with social media and digital communication experience are highly desirable. Our Automotive Consultants are encouraged to develop and manage their own professional online presence to connect with customers, promote inventory, and build a personal brand.

Self-directed marketing efforts are both expected and rewarded, giving motivated individuals additional opportunities for growth and success.

Candidates for This Position Must Be Able To

  • Make personal connections with our guests
  • Work quickly and efficiently
  • Communicate with a smile
  • Speak and dress professionally
  • Work for our guests until the job is complete

Compensation

Dave Gill Chevrolet offers one of the most competitive and progressive pay plans in the Columbus area.

Automotive Consultants receive:

  • $4,000 monthly minimum compensation guarantee
  • Compensation stability while building your customer base

New hires begin with a one-month training period with $3,500 guaranteed compensation, plus the opportunity to earn additional bonuses during training.

Benefits

  • Health insurance and 401(k)
  • A fun, professional work environment
  • A manageable 5-day work week
  • The opportunity to build a long-lasting, rewarding, high-income career
  • The opportunity to sell Chevrolet cars, trucks, EVs, and SUVs — America’s best lineup of vehicles

We are excited that you have chosen to apply for this very important position on our team. We look forward to getting to know you better.
