Description
Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Site Administrator/Coordinator the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides nursing services to patients within a correctional environment. The LPN delivers nursing care as directed by the Physician within the scope of the State Board of Nursing Practice for the LPN.
Pay Rate: $28/hr
  • Respond and intervein to all emergency situations
  • Conduct Patient Intake paperwork
  • Verify and obtain orders for patient medication
  • Conduct Sick Call clinic
  • Order / maintain supply of patient medication from pharmacy
  • Administer medications following nursing standards and correctional regulations
  • Complete and document ordered treatments, patient care, and collection ordered labs
  • Assist provider with Chronic Care Clinic and Provider sick call visit
  • Monitor for, report and document changes in patient's condition
  • Accurately document all patient information, nursing care and interventions
  • Ensure daily nursing task are completed within prescribed timeframe.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality
  • Assist with training and orientation of new personnel
  • Follow QCHC policies, procedures & guidelines
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Successful completion of an Accredited Vocational/Technical School
  • Current and valid LPN or LVN license
