Position Summary


Concepts NREC is seeking entry level, no-experience required candidates to support our growing organization. Individuals with experience will be given preference, though entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply. We are committed to training the right person, with the right attitude and an eagerness to grow. This position supports Concepts NREC’s internal IT Helpdesk Team in day-to-day operations that involve resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues for users at our White River Jct., VT Headquarters, as well as a large remote workforce.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leveraging our Jira-based IT Support Ticketing system to efficiently resolve support tickets as they are assigned to you.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve end-user hardware issues including laptops, desktops, docking stations, monitors, printers, and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues including operating system problems, application errors, profile and permissions issues, and licensing conflicts.
  • Assist in procuring, receiving and commissioning computing devices for new hires, replacements, and refreshes; handle equipment returns and offboarding.
  • Support our staff with issues arising with our Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Perform routine account administration in Active Directory and Azure/Entra ID: user provisioning and deprovisioning, password resets, group membership, MFA support, and license assignment.
  • Support remote users, including VPN connectivity, remote access, and home-office equipment issues.
  • Assist with routine data backups and restoration requests.
  • Assist with basic network troubleshooting and the setup and cabling of networking hardware.
  • Document ticket resolutions clearly, maintain accurate hardware and software inventory records, and build out knowledge base articles and end-user guides.

Identify recurring issues and recommend fixes that reduce repeat tickets.

Requirements:

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Preference given to candidates who have graduated from an IT related vocational or post-secondary program. Preference given to candidates who are passionate about IT and Cybersecurity.

Experience

  • This role does not require a minimum level of experience; entry level candidates are encouraged to apply.
