Clerical/Admin - Administrative Assistant

Infection Prevention Liaison (Part-time) Pride Health is seeking an Infection Prevention Liaison (IPL) for one of its clients in New York. This is a 16-week contract with the possibility of an extension with competitive pay and benefits. Location – New York, NY 10032 Pay range - $25 to $28 per Hour on a W2. Length of assignment – 16 weeks of Contract (Possibility of Extension) Shift / Schedule – Day 3x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00), Part-time - Up to 21 hours per week. Schedule is 8 AM-5 PM; weekends included. Note - MUST be willing to travel to all facility locations (8 campuses). (Allen, Columbia, Cornell, Brooklyn Methodist, Lower Manhattan) and Westchester campuses (Westchester & Westchester Behavioral Health)

The Infection Prevention Liaison supports the Infection Prevention & Control team by observing and promoting proper infection control practices across hospital settings. This entry-level role is ideal for students or new graduates interested in healthcare, infection control, or public health. The IPL conducts direct observations of hand hygiene, PPE use, and isolation precautions, provides immediate education to staff, and documents compliance findings for hospital leadership.

Job Duties

  • Conduct direct observations of hand hygiene and infection control practices
  • Monitor compliance with PPE use, isolation precautions, and equipment cleaning
  • Educate healthcare workers on missed infection prevention opportunities
  • Record and report findings to supervisors and hospital leadership
  • Assist Infection Preventionists in quality assurance and compliance monitoring
  • Travel between multiple hospital campuses as required

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Enrollment in a 2- or 4-year college program preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized with ability to multitask
  • Comfortable working in hospital environments and interacting with healthcare staff
  • No prior clinical experience required (entry-level role suitable for students/new grads)
