Job description

Production Engineer – 15 Miles East of Downtown Houston
- Full-time, Direct-hire Position
- On-site daily on a 9/80 schedule
- $80,000-$107,500 DOE
 
An established, yet growing, industrial manufacturing company located 20-30 minutes east of downtown Houston is hiring two Production Engineers to support plant operations, process improvement, and long term leadership development. These are full-time, direct-hire roles at a stable site with strong safety culture, technical challenges, and room to grow. They are open to entry-level/recent graduates for one position and 2+ years of experience for the other. 
 
What You Will Do
- Monitor production units and product quality while driving continuous improvement
- Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions
- Support process optimization, efficiency projects, and cost reduction initiatives
- Develop and update process documentation such as PFDs, procedures, and change requests
- Participate in process safety activities including PHAs, JSAs, and MOC reviews
- Analyze data and trends to guide operational decisions
- Support trials, startups, and operator training
- Work with vendors on equipment selection and upgrades
- Occasionally assist with production supervision when needed
 
What We Are Looking For
- BS Chemical Engineering or similar
- For early career/recent grads: strong internships in chemical or heavy industrial manufacturing
- For mid-level role, 2-4 years of production or process engineering experience
- Understanding of mass and energy balances and process flow diagrams
- Exposure to DCS or PLC systems and control loops
- Experience with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and plant support
- Interest in developing leadership skills and progressing into operations or management roles
- U.S. work authorization required
- Comfortable working in a plant environment and following PPE requirements
 
Compensation and Schedule
- $80,000 - $107,500
