Job Summary

We are seeking an entry-level Project Engineer I to support the development of Gas and Liquids Pipeline projects from initial concept through early project development. This role provides technical and project engineering support across planning, design, estimating, risk assessment, scheduling, and pre-sanction activities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support front-end engineering, preliminary design, regulatory requirements, stakeholder coordination, and project execution planning.
  • Develop project schedules, cost estimates, and risk assessments.
  • Assist in developing project charters from Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) through Class 3 estimates.
  • Identify project risks, uncertainties, scope requirements, and execution strategies.
  • Prepare project information and recommendations to support management decision-making.
  • Provide regular project status updates and reporting to management and key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, construction, regulatory, and other project teams.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 0-3 years of experience in oil & gas engineering, pipeline operations, project management, or project development.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic understanding of project scheduling, cost estimating, and project development.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing project needs.


Working Conditions

  • Primarily office-based.
  • Up to 10% travel to offices, operating facilities, construction sites, and supplier locations.
  • Valid passport and ability to travel between the U.S. and Canada as required.
