Location: Carson, CA
Pay: $24-$26/hour (Based on Experience)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
Onsite: Fully Onsite
Job Type: Contract to Hire
Position Summary:
A well-established company in Carson is seeking an Accounting Assistant with a focus on Accounts Payable to join their team. This entry-level, contract-to-hire role is ideal for someone who has recently completed a degree in Accounting and is looking to build their career in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and code vendor invoices for payment
  • Match purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices
  • Assist with weekly check runs and ACH payments
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate records and files for AP transactions
  • Support month-end closing tasks related to AP
  • Assist with special projects as assigned
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
  • 1+ year of experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting support
  • Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
