Vias Imports Ltd., one of the leading importers of fine Italian wine in the United States, is seeking a Junior Sales Representative to join its New York City sales team.
This entry-level position is intended for a motivated candidate eager to open new accounts, develop a thorough knowledge of the extensive portfolio, and grow professionally within the company.
Responsibilities
ALL Prospect and open new on-premise and off-premise accounts throughout New York City
Establish and maintain strong relationships with buyers, sommeliers, and retailers
Develop comprehensive knowledge of the Vias portfolio — regions, producers, and styles — through ongoing training
Represent Vias Imports at trade tastings, staff trainings, and portfolio events
Manage orders, follow-up, and account service with accuracy and professionalism
Qualifications
A genuine passion for wine, with particular interest in Italian wine; formal certification (WSET, CMS) is welcome but not required
0–2 years of sales experience; hospitality or wine retail background is an asset
A proactive, self-motivated approach to new business development
Excellent communication skills and a professional presence
Availability to work in the field daily throughout New York City
