Job Overview

To provide administrative support to an Immigration Law Practice that serves Texas and also various cities throughout the U.S. Combine law practice experience and knowledge to assist the Lawyer and legal team in reference to running and maintaining law firm, clientele, filing system, and related software, providing ethical and efficient service.


Responsibilities and Duties

• Prepare client pleadings

• CASE MANAGEMENT: Assist in preparing and filing of the following applications:

o I-589

o   I-485

o   I-130

o   I-485

o E-28

o E-33

o E-26/E-27

o  I-765

o  I-90

o  N-400

o  I-140

o   42B

• Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and documents for immigration applications

• Coordinate interviews with clients when necessary

• Provide updates to Attorney and clients on their cases

• Track and manage deadlines to ensure compliance with immigration regulations

• Prepare supporting documentation and affidavits for filings

• Compose, edit, and proofread correspondence

• Nurture a culture of continuous improvement

• Any additional duties assigned by your supervisor


Job Skills and Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Skills

• College Degree and two years of experience in an immigration law firm OR

• High School Diploma or GED with four years of experience in an immigration law firm

• Bilingual in English and Spanish

• Ability pass background checks

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment at times

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Familiarity with USCIS and Executive Office of Immigration Review

• Ability to work independently and without daily supervision

• Ability to work under high pressure situations and deadlines

• Punctuality

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• College degree preferred

• Knowledge of Camplegal, Lawpay, or other legal software

• Multi-tasking

• Strong work ethic

• Culturally competent and emotionally intelligent

Hours

40-hour work week. Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., CST, with 1-hour lunch


Compensation

$20.00 - $24.00/hour with the ability to grow, learn and be challenged
