Job Description:
As a Hydrogen Fuel Cell Service and Repair Technician, the successful candidates will work independently as well as alongside experienced manufacturing engineers and fellow technicians throughout various aspects of the service and maintenance process.
Activities will be within the Infintium Service Center as well as customer's locations and various service dealerships across the US.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Mechanical and electrical service and repair of hydrogen fuel cell power systems in industrial vehicles
  • Follow process repair/ service documents and work instructions.
  • Evaluate system design and recommend continuous improvements in design, integration, and regular maintenance.
  • Participate in problem-solving processes.
  • Support coordination of materials for service and repairs.
  • Communicate status, results, next steps, etc. with customers, dealership counterparts, internal colleagues, etc.
  • Complete daily uptime reports on units in the field.
  • Provide parts look-up and support as required for technicians, customers, and dealers.
  • Complete warranty/quality testing and procedural forms.
  • Provide technical support and training via phone, on site, and classroom.

Requirements/qualifications:
  • Be team-oriented, self-directed, and have strong inter-personal and organizational skills.
  • Ability and willingness to learn via various methods, including internal seminars and self-driven means.
  • Ability and willingness to travel local , North American regions and internationally to work at other sites, as required. (Up to 75% local and 25% long distance)
  • Ability to read and follow mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Strong electro-mechanical knowledge.
  • Ability to use hand tools and basic power tools and diagnostic instruments.
  • Work well in teams, take direction from others, and contribute ideas/solutions, including Continuous Improvement mindset for optimizing processes.
  • Ability and willingness to work in areas outside main area of responsibility.
  • Effective communicator; able to explain complex mechanical/ electrical systems in simple terms to others in verbal, written, and visual forms.

Additional desired skills:
  • Hydrogen Fuel Cell system knowledge a plus.
  • Prior experience in electric automotive, energy systems service and repair, electric lift truck, or other directly related field Preferred.
  • Understanding of PEM (Proton Exchange Membrane) Fuel Cell Stacks and Systems a plus.
