Job description

Inside Sales Representative Highland Lumber & Mill Pay: $20–$28/hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:30 PM Location: Anaheim, CA

Highland Lumber & Mill is a wholesale lumber and sheet goods distributor serving Southern California and throughout the western US. We're looking for an ambitious, entry-level Inside Sales Representative ready to learn the industry and grow with us. No lumber experience needed. We'll train you from day one and give you a real launching pad for a career in the lumber industry.

In this role you will create quotes and sales orders for existing customers and outside sales reps, communicate directly with customers to support their orders and answer questions, and coordinate with the operations and logistics team on order fulfillment. You will assist with billing and collections, handle accurate data entry and order records, and support the sales team with day-to-day tasks. Along the way you'll learn about lumber purchasing, remanufacturing, logistics, and how the industry works from the inside out.

We're looking for someone with a high school diploma, though some college is preferred. No lumber experience is necessary since we provide training. You should have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and a minimum typing speed of 25 WPM. Great communication and teamwork skills are a must, along with genuine ambition and a natural curiosity about industrial wholesale, distribution, and remanufacturing. This is an entry-level role, but you must show the ability to learn fast and retain what you learn, and you should thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Benefits include a 401(k) with company match, along with health, dental, and vision insurance.

This is more than a first job. It's a launching pad. Show us initiative and results, and we'll show you a real career. Ready to build your future in the lumber industry? Apply today. Resume required for your application to be considered.
