Job description

Own the technical delivery and platform strategy for Amazon Ads' global advertiser education platform - driving it from maintenance mode into its next phase of growth. You'll be the single-threaded leader responsible for platform modernization, scaled personalization across 20+ languages, and cross-functional delivery across engineering, product, marketing, and content operations. This is a 50/50 split of strategic program management and technical leadership - you'll set direction with non-technical stakeholders and drive execution with SDMs, PMs, and engineers.

The role requires someone who can operate autonomously, facilitate decisions across diverse teams, and translate ambiguous business needs into clear technical roadmaps.
Key job responsibilities
Platform Modernization & Delivery
- Define and drive a multi-quarter platform modernization roadmap - establishing the unified content operations and delivery framework (content APIs, recommendation engine, cross-channel delivery systems) that moves the platform from "keep the lights on" into active growth
- Own end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-phase technical programs spanning engineering, product, marketing, content ops, analytics, and localization across 20+ languages
- Coordinate platform launches, feature releases, and technical implementations supporting educational content across multiple channels
Technical & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with architects on platform architecture decisions, integrations, and system design - translating business requirements into technical plans with clear milestones and risk mitigation
- Manage platform roadmap including frontend experiences, middle layer data abstraction, content APIs, and cross-channel delivery
- Drive autonomous decision-making across technical and non-technical stakeholders, operating as the central point of coordination between marketing leadership and engineering teams
Delivery Mechanisms & Operational Excellence
- Establish delivery mechanisms from scratch - standardize sprint planning, release coordination, design reviews, cross-team dependency management, and KPI tracking for sustained scale
- Track KPIs such as learner engagement, course completion rates, certification attainment, platform stability, and user satisfaction
- Drive continuous improvement in platform delivery processes and technical operations
About the team
The Website Experiences team sits within Amazon Ads Marketing and owns three high-impact channels - the Amazon Ads website, Amazon Ads Academy, and SEO - serving as the digital front door for Amazon Ads. Academy drives advertiser education and enablement at scale: when advertisers learn to use our products effectively, they achieve better outcomes, which directly drives advertising revenue growth. We're at an inflection point - moving from maintenance into active platform growth - and this role will own that transformation.
