Job description

The Creators team goal is to make Amazon the Earth's most desired destination for commerce influencers, associates (publishers, bloggers, and more) and their content. We are a team of innovators that tackle difficult problems, and are laser-focused on building and enhancing products and experiences that drive growth for Creators. We own the Creator product suite across Amazon to ensure a cohesive experience, experiment with and align compensation structures, and launch features that reinforce feelings of achievement for Creators in addition to monetary compensation. We seek to strengthen creators' sense of community, fandom, credibility, and provide positive feedback loops. Our BD team on Creators directly collaborates with strategic customers to build new, industry-specific partnership opportunities that directly impact and transform the way our Creators can partner, create, and earn from us at scale.
We are seeking a talented, highly motivated Principal Business Development Tech leader to own and scale two critical partnership portfolios for the Creators organization: (1) enterprise network partnerships that extend Amazon's reach through scaled creator engagement via third-party networks, and (2) creative tooling and technology partnerships that integrate best-in-class content creation capabilities directly into creator workflows. This role will be responsible for leading complex technical integration workstreams-including API design, data sharing frameworks, attribution models, and platform interoperability-while simultaneously managing commercial negotiations, P&L ownership, and cross-functional alignment across Legal, Policy, Engineering, Product, Finance, and Creator Success teams. As a principal-level leader, you will set the strategic direction for our partnerships portfolio, identify whitespace opportunities and emerging trends in the creator economy, and influence senior leadership on investment frameworks and long-term partnership strategy. You will operate with equal fluency across enterprise deal negotiations, API architecture discussions, and executive-level business reviews, serving as the connective tissue between external partners and Amazon's internal ecosystem.
Key job responsibilities
The ideal candidate is a seasoned business development leader with deep expertise at the intersection of business strategy, technical integration, and relationship management. They bring 10+ years of progressive experience in partnerships or strategic alliances, with significant time spent on technology or platform partnerships involving complex multi-stakeholder integrations (APIs, SDKs, data pipelines). They have a demonstrated track record of owning P&L responsibility, driving measurable business outcomes at scale, and navigating legal, compliance, and policy frameworks inherent to partnerships involving third-party creator networks and multi-party commercial arrangements. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical acumen, engages credibly with engineering teams on architecture and integration design, and is equally comfortable presenting business cases to senior leadership. They thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments, operate with an entrepreneurial spirit, and take a data-driven, analytical approach to decision making. Key job responsibilities include:
- Own end-to-end strategy and relationship management for enterprise network partners who activate large communities of creators on Amazon's behalf, driving measurable growth in creator participation and attributed revenue
- Identify, evaluate, and secure partnerships with leading content creation platforms and technology providers to bring professional-grade tooling into the creator experience
- Lead complex technical integration workstreams including API design, data sharing frameworks, attribution models, and platform interoperability in partnership with engineering teams
- Develop and manage P&L for each partnership, including commission structures, investment frameworks, and ROI models that demonstrate business value
- Structure and negotiate commercial agreements that balance growth incentives with appropriate risk controls
- Define integration strategies that embed Amazon capabilities into existing creative workflows, meeting creators where they are
- Partner with product and engineering teams to define technical requirements, prioritize integration roadmaps, and deliver seamless creator-facing experiences
- Develop and present business cases, partnership proposals, and performance reviews to senior leadership
- Contribute to the broader Creator Partnerships strategy by identifying whitespace opportunities and emerging trends in the creator economy
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices.
- Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences.
