The business provides comprehensive middle office and administration services, including trade processing, asset servicing, valuation and profit and loss reporting, cash and collateral management, reconciliations, accounting and NAV calculations and investor servicing and reporting.
Job Description
Clearing and Settlements within HFS is responsible for affirmation, settlement, life cycle event processing, and break resolution related to equities, bonds, futures, options, repos, and other listed security transactions. We engage with clients, brokers, prime brokers, and other NT Teams across the globe to ensure our client's trades are processed accurately and settled in a timely manner.
Middle Office Trade Support, Hedge Fund Services, within Northern Trust is hiring for:

Major Duties :
1. Perform daily review of reconciliations and execute controls to analyze and understand all security and cash position differences related to reconciliations.
2. Efficiently coordinates break resolution process between client, operations teams, and custodian banks.
3. Affirmation/Confirmation of equity & fixed income securities in US and International Markets.
4. Manage the settlement of various securities by liaising with brokers and addressing discrepancies in SSIs and trade details
5. Review and monitor trading activity to ensure accurate trade details are submitted to the market
6. Ensure accuracy of transaction agreements and modifications
7. Works closely with implementation team to ensure seamless handoff and setup of new client accounts.
8. Assists with project work related to increasing efficiency and improving control environment.
9. Prioritize time accordingly to action trade breaks by end of day
10. Effectively address a number of internal and external audiences in a professional manner
11. Assist in the training of personnel internationally
12. Perform other related duties as required

Minimum Qualifications (Education and Experience) :
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree (Finance, Accounting, and Economics preferred) or relevant proven work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • May be entry level or 1-3 years of experience in financial services industry

Salary Range:
$50,160 - 75,240 USD
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
