Hedge Fund Senior Operations Associate

Boston, MA | 4 Days Onsite | $130K–$155K Base + 20% Bonus

Our client, a $15B AUM Boston-based hedge fund experiencing strong growth, is seeking an experienced Hedge Fund Senior Operations Associate to join its investment operations team. This is a highly visible role supporting a complex portfolio, working closely with investment, trading, finance, technology, and legal teams.

The ideal candidate will bring 6–9 years of investment operations experience with strong knowledge of trade operations, treasury, liquidity, reconciliations, administrator oversight, and investment reporting. This individual will join a high-performing team and have the opportunity to take ownership of key operational functions while helping improve and scale the firm's infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Support treasury and liquidity activities, including FX, credit facilities, cash forecasting, and funding obligations

  • Oversee third-party administrators across trade capture, reconciliations, close, and audit processes

  • Support trade execution and settlement, cash/position reconciliations, corporate actions, and other middle-office functions

  • Assist with onboarding new investments and strategies and improving related operational workflows

  • Prepare NAV, valuation, compliance, covenant, risk, and portfolio reporting

  • Support operations across public and alternative investments, including hedge funds, private credit, PE, VC, and real estate

  • Partner closely with investment, trading, finance, legal, technology, and external service providers

  • Drive process improvement, automation, and technology initiatives as the firm continues to grow

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Accounting or Finance preferred

  • 6–9 years of investment operations experience, ideally within a hedge fund, asset manager, or alternative investment firm

  • Strong knowledge of trade operations, treasury, liquidity, reconciliations, and investment reporting

  • Experience supporting public market securities and/or alternative investments

  • Strong Excel skills; SQL and Power Query experience is a plus

  • Experience with Eze, Bloomberg, ICE, DTCC, Geneva, or similar investment platforms preferred

  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growing investment environment

  • Ability to work in the Boston office four days per week

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced investment operations professional to join a $15B AUM hedge fund during a period of strong growth and gain broad exposure across investment strategies, treasury, trading, reporting, and operational infrastructure.

This is a full-time role based in Boston requiring four days per week in the office and offering a $130K–$155K base salary plus a 20% bonus. The firm also offers lunch provided daily and an onsite gym.
