Job description

Verition Fund Management LLC ("Verition") is a multi-strategy, multi-manager hedge fund founded in 2008.  Verition focuses on global investment strategies including Global Credit, Global Convertible, Volatility & Capital Structure Arbitrage, Event-Driven Investing, Equity Long/Short & Capital Markets Trading, and Global Quantitative Trading.

We are looking to hire a Full Stack Developer to join one of our fixed income teams in Greenwich, Connecticut. The role involves building and maintaining production trading systems, real-time dashboards, and data pipelines with third party vendors used during live market hours. The ideal candidate has strong Python skills, solid engineering fundamentals, and is comfortable working across backend, frontend, and data systems in a Linux environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain real-time trading dashboards and internal tools
  • Develop and support production-grade backend services and data pipelines in Python
  • Utilize FIX protocalls for engaging with electronic trading platforms
  • Implement and optimize SQL-based data models and queries to support analytics, backtesting, and real-time monitoring, with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Collaborate closely with the PM, quants, and traders to translate trading workflows and research requirements into robust software solutions

Requirements:

  • Strong Python skills with experience building production systems; exposure to C++ for low-latency systems is a plus
  • Experience with frontend technologies for real-time applications and dashboards, including JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
  • Strong SQL skills with experience in query optimization and working with large datasets
  • Comfort with Linux-based development and deployment, including experience with REST and event-driven APIs
  • Hands-on experience building data pipelines and backtesting systems, with some exposure to machine learning workflows
  • Prior Experience at a Hedge Fund/Bank as a quant developer is a plus.
  • Strong communication and project management skills
