Senior Associate, Fund Accounting - Private Markets & Hedge Funds

About the Role
As a Senior Associate within Fund Accounting, you will play a key role in supporting a portfolio of alternative investment clients across a variety of fund structures and asset classes. This position offers the opportunity to build expertise in complex fund accounting, financial reporting, investment activity, and client service while working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing accounting records, maintaining investor and investment activity, supporting financial statement preparation, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality client reporting. The role provides exposure to a broad range of alternative investment products, including private equity, private credit, real assets, hedge funds, and other investment vehicles.

How You Will Make an Impact
  • Perform bank reconciliations, process journal entries for non-complex transactions, and prepare supporting financial schedules and reports
  • Post accounting entries to general ledger
  • Price the fund portfolios
  • Analyze fund performance on a daily and monthly basis
  • Research internal differences between the accounting and trade entry systems
  • Issue P&L reports on a daily basis
  • Perform month-end close processes/financial statement preparation
  • Work with various products including equities, bonds, swaps, options, FX, mortgages, financing and futures

Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related Business field
  • 2+ years' experience in Accounting (hedge funds is a plus, not required)

  • Experience supporting alternative investment funds, including Private Equity, Private Credit, Real Assets, Hedge Funds, or similar investment structures.
  • Strong academic foundation in financial accounting, i.e. journal entries, cash transactions and reconciliations, non-cash activity, investment activity

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive attitude with a team player mentality and the ability to work independently
  • Good analytical skills and high attention to detail
