Heavy Equipment Shop Mechanic

We are looking to hire an experienced heavy equipment mechanic with good attention to detail, who takes pride in their work. Applicants will need to be able to inspect, service, and maintain a wide range of medium and heavy-duty construction equipment. You will be responsible for diagnosing, inspecting, repairing, and providing routine maintenance for customers equipment.

Heavy Equipment Mechanic Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting trucks, loaders, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment for proper performance.
  • Diagnosing faults using manual and computerized testing equipment.
  • Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts.
  • Repairing damaged equipment parts.
  • Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on heavy-duty equipment and vehicles.
  • Cleaning and servicing of work equipment like winches, blades, and booms.
  • Performing major repair work when necessary.
  • Consulting with other mechanics on difficult jobs.
  • Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to management and customers.

Heavy Equipment Mechanic Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Certification as a heavy equipment mechanic a plus.
