Perimeter Behavioral of Forrest City, Arkansas has an immediate opening for a Mental Health Technician/Youth Care Worker!

Our Mental Health Technician responsibilities include some of the following:

Care for our patients daily by assessing behavior, escorting them, and interacting with them continuously throughout the shift.

Conduct direct observation rounds during assigned shift and document patient’s behavior.

  • · Model and teach appropriate life skills to the patients.
  • · Orient the patients to the unit and assist them with daily living skills.
  • · Provide a safe, clean and therapeutic environment.
  • - Provide physical restraint or intervention if appropriate. Training will be provided.

Qualifications for the Mental Health Technician should include the following:

  • Education: High School Degree or equivalent is required. It is preferred to have educational or work experience in psychology, human service, nursing, or social work environments.
  • Experience: At least one (1) year of related experience in a assisted living, residential, or hospital setting. Psychiatric experience preferred or (1) year experience as a Corpsman in the Military.
  • Schedule: If working full time, must be able to work a rotation of 4 days on/2 days off. Hours will be Days: 7:00 am-3:00pm, Evening: 3:00pm-11:00pm,  Overnight: 11:00 pm-7:00 am
  • Physical: Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, lift, push and pull to perform restraints.

Minimum Age - Must be at least 21 years of age.
