About the role

This role serves as a critical data analyst supporting logistical and financial operations. The primary responsibility is to leverage advanced knowledge of DMLSS and expert-level Microsoft Excel and Power Query skills to extract, transform, and analyze complex datasets. A key operational requirement for this position is providing ongoing, rigorous support for the congressionally mandated AFWCF audit, ensuring data accuracy, traceability, and compliance with financial reporting standards.

What youโ€™ll do Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) Operations
  • Execute advanced extraction, querying, and analysis of logistics and supply chain data from DMLSS.
  • Formulate data models to track inventory, procurement, and operational readiness.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for DMLSS data architecture and reporting capabilities.
Air Force Working Capital Fund (AFWCF) Audit Support
  • Provide ongoing analytics and evidentiary support for the congressionally mandated AFWCF audit.
  • Reconcile financial and logistical data to ensure continuous audit readiness and compliance with FIAR (Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness) directives.
  • Respond to auditor inquiries with accurate, timely, and reproducible data models.
Required Experience
  • Demonstrated advanced expertise in DMLSS.
  • Deep proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced array functions, VBA) and Power Query (M code).
  • Proven experience supporting DoD or Federal financial audits, specifically AFWCF operations.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience migrating legacy Excel/Power Query models to advanced visualization tools, e.g., Power BI.
  • Knowledge of broader DoD logistics systems, e.g., LogiCole as DMLSS transitions to newer enterprise platforms.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence Central Services (BCS) to include a working knowledge of SQL specifically related to BCS ad hoc reporting.
