Job description

Team: Search & AI Discovery (SAID)

Position: Content SEO Specialist, Streaming

The Marketing Acquisition & Campaign Services (MACS) team is a performance-driven digital marketing team that provides in-house strategy, activation, operations, and analytic support to brands across all of Paramount Skydance. This includes overseeing the implementation of technology and capabilities across the company’s streaming portfolio.

As a Content SEO Specialist, Streaming for the MACS team, you will be reporting directly to the Streaming SEO & AI Discovery (SAID) team. This role will support content SEO and AI Discovery initiatives across ParamountPlus.com and Pluto.TV, including domestic and international web properties. This role will work closely with editorial, content operations, merchandising, marketing, social media, PR, localization, product, and analytics teams to help optimize content for search visibility, AI discovery, and business objectives.

The ideal candidate wants to work for Paramount Skydance’s portfolio of strong brands, has a passion for SEO-driven content strategy, enjoys working in a fast-paced team environment, and thrives in quick-changing and non-traditional media outlets.

About

The Streaming SEO team serves as both an internal agency and an in-house practitioner. We support multiple sites and work closely with them to drive SEO initiatives. This role will support and enhance SEO & AI Discovery program initiatives across the company’s streaming products through keyword research, content optimization, editorial support, performance analysis, and scalable content best practices.

We’re looking for a content-focused SEO who is a skilled communicator and able to collaborate across multiple teams. A strong understanding of keyword research, on-page optimization, semantic SEO, editorial workflows, and search performance analysis is essential for this role, as you’ll be working closely with editorial, content ops, merchandising, marketing, localization, and analytics teams. You should enjoy identifying content opportunities, improving page-level optimization, guiding stakeholders on SEO copy best practices, and helping content perform across traditional search engines, Google Discover, Google News, and emerging AI discovery surfaces.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct keyword, topic, and competitive research to support landing pages, editorial content, title launches, sports events, go-to-market initiatives, and content calendar prioritization
  • Provide SEO guidance for in-product copy, landing page copy, titles, meta descriptions, movie and series descriptions, clip descriptions, headings, image alt attributes, internal links, and content formatting
  • Support the editorial content program through SEO brief generation, brief review, writer feedback, content optimization, and recommendations for updates or revisions
  • Monitor editorial and content performance in Google Search Console and other SEO tools to identify new topics, refresh opportunities, and optimization priorities
  • Serve as a point of contact for editorial, content operations, merchandising, marketing, and localization teams on SEO copywriting and content optimization questions
  • Provide light SEO copy refinement and examples when needed, partnering with copywriting, marketing, brand, and editorial stakeholders to balance SEO best practices with business and brand requirements
  • Make CMS updates and conduct content audits covering HTML titles, meta descriptions, headings, links, image attributes, formatting, semantic keyword usage, natural language question answering, and other on-page SEO elements
  • Support global content SEO initiatives, including multi-language keyword research, international rank tracking, localized content guidance, translation workflows, and coordination with localization partners
  • Define templates, keyword targeting frameworks, and content best practices to scale SEO optimization across markets, languages, and page types
  • Apply semantic SEO, NLP-driven optimization, and answer-focused content best practices to improve visibility across search engines, AI responses, and answer extraction systems
  • Support optimization for Google News, Google Discover, and other content discovery surfaces
  • Help track content visibility, mentions, citations, and performance across LLMs and other AI search surfaces
  • Partner with program marketing, social media, and PR teams to align off-site language with SEO and AI Discovery goals
  • Attend title launch, go-to-market, and sports event stakeholder calls to identify SEO support needs, including new landing pages, supporting copy, and editorial content opportunities
  • Keep pace with SEO, editorial, AI search, content discovery, and digital marketing industry trends and developments
  • Requirements:

    • Strong understanding of content SEO fundamentals, including keyword research, search intent, metadata, headings, internal linking, image optimization, content formatting, and on-page SEO best practices
    • Hands-on experience using Google Search Console to analyze content performance, identify opportunities, and support optimization recommendations
    • Experience conducting keyword research and competitive analysis using tools such as Semrush, Google Trends, Google Search Console, or similar platforms
    • Ability to create and review SEO content briefs, provide actionable feedback to writers, and optimize editorial and landing page content for search performance
    • Familiarity with semantic SEO, NLP-based content optimization, entity-driven SEO, and writing for answer extraction or AI-assisted discovery systems
    • Experience supporting content calendars, topic ideation, content prioritization, and performance-based content updates
    • Comfortable working with editorial, content operations, merchandising, marketing, social media, PR, localization, and analytics teams
    • Experience making content updates in CMS platforms; familiarity with WordPress and Yoast preferred
    • Familiarity with Google News, Google Discover, and content discovery best practices
    • Familiarity with AI Discovery concepts, including LLM citations, AI search visibility, answer engine optimization, and how copy or editorial content can influence mentions and source references
    • Experience supporting international or multi-language SEO preferred, including localized keyword research, rank tracking, translation workflows, and coordination with localization partners
    • Familiarity with Adobe Analytics a plus
    • A second language is a plus, but not required

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years’ experience in content & editorial SEO
    • Experience working on large-scale websites, streaming, entertainment, media, and publishing sites preferred
    • Strong editorial judgment with the ability to balance SEO recommendations, brand voice, audience needs, and business priorities
    • Comfortable managing multiple content requests, stakeholder needs, and optimization workflows
    • A strong communicator who can clearly present content SEO recommendations and performance insights
    • Passion and curiosity for SEO, entertainment, streaming, editorial content, AI Discovery, and the evolving search landscape
