About the position...
The Golf Course Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance, playability, and health of the golf course to ensure an exceptional experience for all members and guests at our club. This role will assist with mowing; maintaining bunkers; operating & maintaining landscaping equipment; and assisting with irrigation and turf care. Our maintenance staff works closely with inside Golf Operations to uphold course standards, complete daily setup tasks, and ensure the course remains regular play and tournament-ready throughout the season.
  • Perform daily course setup, including changing hole locations, moving tee markers, and setting up signage
  • Mow greens, tees, fairways, and roughs according to established club standards.
  • Rake and maintain bunkers, ensuring proper sand depth and appearance.
  • Operates small machinery to assist with edging, trimming, blowing, and mowing.
  • Maintain landscaping around clubhouse, pathways, and common areas.
  • Remove debris, leaves, and fallen branches to ensure safe playing conditions.
  • Assist with special projects and tournament preparation to ensure the course is event-ready.
  • Monitor course conditions and report turf issues, hazards, or equipment concerns to supervisors.
  • Follow all safety procedures and properly maintain tools and equipment to ensure cleanliness and working condition.
  • Operates utility vehicles for hauling material and removing debris.
  • Assist with irrigation system operation, troubleshooting, and minor repairs as needed.

Requirements
What we are looking for from you...
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including varying weekends and holidays - we start our work days early!
  • Must have reliable/regular attendance and transportation
  • Previous experience in golf course maintenance or groundskeeping is highly preferred
  • Experience in basic landscaping or general labor is required
  • Familiarity with operating landscape equipment such as mowers, trimmers, edgers is highly preferred
  • Demonstrates a team-oriented mindset and a positive attitude, consistently delivering high-quality work that upholds the club's standards for our members
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently or with others as needed
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high course standards
  • Ability to perform manual labor and work in varying weather conditions is required
