Goldman Sachs Engineering Lead

AM Middle Office Technology supports trade management operations primarily. We are at the start of a multi-year transformatory program to build a new-age trade processing platform that will leverage Cloud and AI for scale and business efficiency.

As an Engineering Lead, you will:

  • Work with a team of engineers to build cloud solutions and help modernize the platform.
  • Contribute to the vision, understand our product roadmap, and contribute to building an engineering culture within our global team.
  • Collaborate with a global cross-functional team in building business-critical products.
  • Perform code reviews, system design reviews and refine technical proposals.
  • Communicate with leadership, engineers, and business teams on requirements, design, and program statuses.

We are looking for someone with lots of energy that enjoys engineering challenges and has a passion to deliver high quality technological solutions and can operate in a highly fluid, rapidly changing environment.

Basic qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in C++, Java Full stack, and related ecosystems
  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with design and implementation of high throughput, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Culture of excellence and collaboration
  • Energetic, self-directed, and self-motivated
  • Strong work ethic, with a sense of ownership and urgency
  • Technocratic mindset to leverage latest advancements in distributed technologies and AI to think big and apply practically.
  • Strong understanding of data security and technology risk principles.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with C++, Java and AWS services
  • Experience working with event-driven architecture and messaging technologies
  • Experience working with clients on requirements and delivery management
  • Experience in building and managing high-performance teams
