Job Description Summary
The Wound/Ostomy Nurse will evaluate and provide quality Wound & Ostomy Care to patients referred by a physician in keeping with the Alabama Board of Nursing Nurse Practice Act and following Standards of Nursing Practice. The Wound/Ostomy Nurse provides services for infants, pediatrics, adolescent, young adults, older adults, and geriatric population as related to Wound and Ostomy Care.
Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Required;
  • Current RN license in the state Required;
  • One (1) year or experience in an acute care or wound care setting Preferred

LANGUAGE/ COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing;
  • Ability to communicate effectively in an emergency situation.

SKILLS:
  • Entry level knowledge of Wound and Ostomy Care;
  • Basic computer skills. Skills proficiency knowledge.
