About The Role

A fast-growing, Y Combinator-backed fintech startup is looking for an entry-level Full Stack Engineer to join its small, high-impact engineering team in New York City. The company builds a personal wealth management platform aimed at making investing accessible and approachable for the next generation of retail investors. You'll work directly on core product features - including AI-powered tooling, portfolio management, and educational investing experiences - from day one.

What You'll Do
  • Build and maintain full stack features across web and/or mobile surfaces of a consumer fintech platform
  • Collaborate closely with a small, cross-functional team to ship product improvements quickly and iteratively
  • Contribute to the development of AI-assisted features, automated investing workflows, and user-facing financial tools
  • Write clean, testable, and well-documented code across both frontend and backend layers
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning
  • Help uphold high standards for security, performance, and reliability in a regulated financial environment
What We're Looking For Required
  • Entry-level candidates welcome - no prior professional experience required; strong portfolio, projects, or academic background will be considered
  • Solid understanding of full stack web development fundamentals (frontend frameworks, backend APIs, databases)
  • Ability to work on-site in New York, NY
  • Eligible to work in the US - visa sponsorship is available
Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with fintech, investing, or financial products
  • Experience working with AI/ML integrations or LLM-based features
  • Exposure to mobile development (iOS/Android or React Native)
  • Interest in consumer apps targeting younger demographics
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $170,000 - $220,000 USD annually
  • Visa sponsorship available
  • Opportunity to work at a well-funded, high-growth startup backed by top-tier investors
  • Meaningful equity and early-stage career growth potential
Location

This is an on-site role based in New York, NY. Candidates must be able to commute to the office regularly.
