Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Associate Software Engineer to join our Master Data Management (MDM) product line within Precisely's Data Integrity Suite. In this role, you will contribute to building enterprise-grade, AI-first full stack applications that manage and deliver trusted, high-quality data across integrations, workflows, and analytics. You will work across frontend and backend layers, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, production-ready features. As part of an AI-first engineering organization, you will use AI tools as a core part of designing, building, testing, and operating software. You will be expected to apply AI to accelerate development, improve code quality, and strengthen problem-solving. You will work closely with engineers, architects, and product teams to deliver scalable, reliable, production-ready capabilities that address real customer needs.
What you will do:
  • Develop full stack applications using Java (backend) and modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular/React)
  • Build responsive UI components and integrate them with backend services and APIs
  • Design and implement REST APIs and service integrations for MDM workflows
  • Contribute to data models and application architecture supporting MDM platforms
  • Deliver features end-to-end including development, testing, and deployment
  • Debug and troubleshoot defects across front-end and backend systems
  • Use AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) for coding, debugging, and productivity
  • Evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs for correctness and performance
  • Apply AI to accelerate development workflows, testing, and documentation
  • Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability
  • Contribute to performance, scalability, and reliability improvements
  • Follow clean code practices and maintainable design principles
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and code reviews
  • Collaborate with Product, UX, QA, and Platform teams
  • Continuously learn and evaluate new technologies, especially in AI/agentic workflows, frontend and backend platforms

What we are looking for:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • Years of experience: 1-2 years of experience in software development
  • Specific technical or software skills required: React/Angular/Java
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and React/Angular frameworks
  • Familiarity of Java and object-oriented programming
  • Understanding Web application architecture and APIs
  • Test-driven development mindset with understanding of unit test patterns, mocking strategies, and test quality gates
  • Understanding of concurrent programming fundamentals, including thread-safety contracts, immutability, and shared state management
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

AI Skills/Knowledge:
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools for coding, debugging, and productivity (Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, etc.)
  • Ability to evaluate and validate AI-generated code for correctness and performance
  • Interest in applying AI to data platforms, APIs, frontend and backend workflows
  • Eagerness to adopt AI-assisted software engineering development practices and agentic workflows as part of daily work

Preferred Skills (a plus but not required):
  • Experience with Angular or React
  • REST APIs and microservices architectures
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and distributed systems
  • Database knowledge (SQL/NoSQL)
  • Understanding of data platforms, MDM concepts, or data integration pipelines
  • Defensive programming practices (null safety, input validation, guard clauses, failure atomicity)
  • Basic knowledge of Python or AI/ML concepts
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
