Job description

Entry-Level Product Repair/ Modification Technician

Company:

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Entry-Level Product Repair/ Modification Technician to join our dynamic team in Heath, OH.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assists with disassembly of systems components to support the correction of failures or implement changes

  • Assists with basic troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components

  • Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components

  • Fabricates and modifies aerospace products according to specifications

  • Assists with performs tasks associated with the safe handling of a simple aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations)

  • Works under supervision

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working with tools and following work instructions

  • Willingness to work with beryllium and/or other chemical elements

  • Basic computer experience and competency

  • Able to work any shift based on the needs of the operation

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in the inspection of parts, components, assemblies or units

  • 1+ years' experience soldering experience and assembly of equipment

  • 1+ years' experience using handheld tools and/or hand-held power tools

  • Experience reading and understanding basic engineering drawings and specifications

  • 1+ years' experience working under a microscope

Conflict of Interest:

This position will support 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift

Work Location:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
