Job description

Our ideal candidate is an entry level candidate with up to 3 years of experience, a strong work ethic, a desire to learn, the willingness to work cohesively within a team, and the ability to work on multiple projects. Additionally, we offer a creative, flexible, supportive and fun environment!
Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
  • Preparation of trip generation estimates, roadway volume development, parking estimates, and analyses for their projects within the team.
  • Assisting in the analysis of field data, reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs to plan projects.
  • Obtaining, analyzing, and interpreting demographic and other regional transportation planning data.
  • Use of computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and planning documents.
  • Assisting in the preparation or modification of planning documents, including transportation impact studies, and traffic operational analyses, for projects.
  • Assisting in the collection of field data.
  • Serving as onsite project representative.
  • Use of planning software and equipment to prepare engineering, design, and planning documents.
  • Responsible for job-specific quality system tasks as defined in the quality manual or handbook.
  • Responsible for other general office duties as may be assigned.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to develop conceptual layouts for transportation improvements, including roadway access, pedestrian and multimodal facilities.
  • Prepare high-level design sketches, diagrams, and visualizations to support proposals, stakeholder presentations, and client deliverables.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Engineer in Training Certification Preferred
  • Experience utilizing any or all of the following: Synchro, SimTraffic, Excel, AutoCAD/MicroStation (preferred but not required)
  • Aptitude for detail-oriented work assignments
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work on multiple projects and ability to meet multiple deadlines
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Experience with preparing traffic and parking studies in New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut. (preferred but not required)

Pay Range: $76,000 - $82,000
