This position is a great starting point for those interested in pursuing a career in floral design, as it provides hands-on experience and opportunities for advancement within the field.

What does an entry level florist do?

As an entry level florist, your daily tasks will often include preparing and conditioning flowers, assembling basic arrangements, maintaining shop displays, and assisting with customer service. While much of your initial work will follow established designs and instructions from senior florists, you may gradually take on more creative responsibilities as you gain experience and demonstrate skill. Collaboration is common, especially during busy periods or large event preparations, and your input will increase as you build trust and familiarity within the team. Over time, you can expect opportunities to contribute ideas and develop your own style.

To thrive as an Entry Level Florist, you need basic knowledge of floral design, plant care, and a high school diploma or equivalent.
